Open Studios June 2025

My studio is one of several situated in a little complex of converted buildings on the Marchmont Estate in Berwickshire. They were established by the late Hugo Burge, and is now the HQ of a charity set up in his name. Twice a year we open the site to visitors for a weekend, and though I’ve taken part in Open Studios for the past few years, until now I’ve always had a pop up display. This time I had an actual studio to open!

It was fun to be able to welcome people into my usually private space, to see some of the original artwork from my published books, have a nosy through my sketchbooks and chat about what I’m currently up to. I also had a few prints for sale and cards that are usually only available for wholesale customers. It was a great - if tiring - weekend and I’m looking forward to doing it all again in September.
